Plucked this off the new books shelf at my library & because my son's girlfriend is interested in the history of the Green Fairy. Production values are very high, the photography is lush and crystalline. The information presented is not particularly new. The recipes sound, for the most part, dreadful- and one would think, in a book of what are supposed to be absinthe recipes, fewer would call for merely rinsing the glass with, then discarding absinthe. And I was annoyed when the author claimed that the drink "Absinthe and Old Lace" was named after a play. Arsenic. Not Absinthe. Totally different.
