Loved this book. Devoured it in a few hours, my eyes glued to the page. I dug Nelson's Destroy All Cars, but thought it suffered from the lack of an ending. Recovery Road does not. It's a truly satisfying journey. We meet Maddie when she's in rehab, and we leave her a long way from there. This book is about the trip, and about growing up. It's a lovely book. I liked that it was set in Portland, and it was extra cool to be reading about Maddie riding the Max train while I was doing the same thing.
