A Sick Day for Amos McGee
I wasn't impressed by this year's Caldecott winner. The illustrations are lovely but the story isn't interesting. Make Way for Ducklings remains the book to live up to for me, and this isn't even in the same county. It's fanciful, sure, but believable? Not for me. It's also so quiet that I wonder about its ability to hold the interest of a rambunctious four-year-old. Not for me.
