The Thorn Birds: A Novel
It was so very interesting to revisit this book after so many years. When I was a young teen, my mother read all the family sagas that were current at the time. She loved nothing better than a multi-generational story about rich people. I remember both of us loving this book at the time, but I found it offers little beyond a sweeping saga of a family with which I can't identify in any way.
