An island in a green sea
Lovely, quiet tale of a young girl growing up in the Outer Hebrides in the 20's. The hard croft life is described with both respect and reverence. The surroundings are woven though the story till the island is a character all its own. There's more than a touch of Ruth M. Arthur here, with a bit of second sight. Highly recommended.
