The 100 Thing Challenge: How I Got Rid of Almost Everything, Remade My Life, and Regained My Soul

The 100 Thing Challenge: How I Got Rid of Almost Everything, Remade My Life, and Regained My Soul - Dave Bruno This book is the story of what happened when a family guy decided to pare his possessions down to somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 things (where "library" equals one thing, so it wasn't as strict as you might imagine). The authorial voice didn't resonate with me at all. I found the writing more blog-like than book-like, sort of chatty but at the same time there was a woodenness about it that kept me at arm's length. I didn't understand some of his issues (a woman looked at him once and he had to be strong and resist looking back? What?) or some of his reasons for paring down his stuff. His Christianity informs everything he does, which was interesting to read about. Overall, it was a nifty idea but I didn't think the book was particularly well executed.
