I liked these stories but after awhile I did have a bit of trouble distinguishing one character from the next. In these stories, teenaged girls make bad choices, over and over again. Teenaged boys make bad choices too. It's a lot like real life. The only truly false note for me was the closing story, a letter from a father to his daughter. Aside from that, the stories weren't heavy-handed, and allow one to draw one's own conclusions- a rarity in teen-focused problem stories.
