Atwood's companion book to Oryx and Crake didn't disappoint. I liked the slightly warmer tone, if a dystopia this stark and cynical can be said to have warmth. Fleshes out both Crake and Jimmy while adding much-needed female viewpoints. Atwood's women here are, as is usual for her, quite strong and sympathetic. The storyline was fairly familiar, and in the end I didn't love it as much as I expected to. It's very good, maybe better than O&C, but ultimately didn't quite work for me.
