20 CDs in 3 days. It's been a long time since an audio book has made me put down all my print books and wander gormless around the house attached to my headphones. Guidall brings the proper gravitas to this seminal SF work, and his voice weaves a seductive spell. What struck me this time, the first revisiting in a number of years, is Herbert's early embrace of planetary ecology. The world Herbert built is believable and full. My heart belongs to the Fremen still, and this book retains its place in my five star lineup.
