The Giver
Fairly well-written though chock-full of SF cliches. No surprises here, but the ambivalence of the ending struck me as brave. I'm waffling between 2 and 3 stars for this one. This is my second Lowry (the first was the horrible Willoughbys) and I'm not knocked out. Have I just chosen poorly?
