I liked this book a lot in parts but also found it pretty awkward, as I find many Issue books are. The secondary characters are fairly two-dimensional, and I'm pretty sure there's only one person the neighbor can be. The grandmother seemed drawn from life, though, as did Ben. I enjoyed the movie-making parts. I sound more lukewarm than I feel, because overall the book was enjoyable. I will be looking for the sequel, if only to make sure that I'm right about the neighbor.
